The US state of Oregon is not as famous as Texas, California or Alaska, but it is no less interesting. It belongs to the Pacific states, as it lies on the Pacific coast, and its capital, contrary to popular belief, is Salem, not Portland – the latter, however, is larger, but the official status of the state capital still belongs to Salem. - Of all the American states, only Oregon has a double-sided flag, that is, with a different image front and back.
- The official state symbol of Oregon is the beaver. This animal is even depicted on one of the sides of the aforementioned flag.
- There is a rock band in Oregon that performs songs only in Klingon, which is familiar to all «Star Trek» fans. The Stovokor band performs songs in the style of death-metal. Before performances, band members put on makeup to look like Klingons.
